Duska Vjestica Receives Award of Excellence for Outstanding Contributions to the Department of Family and Community Medicine

Duska Vjestica, clinic assistant of over 9 years, received an Award of Excellence from the University of Toronto DFCM for her exceptional work ethic and dedication to patient care and resident education at Credit Valley Family Health Team. The CVFHT sends their warmest congratulations to Duska Vjestica!

“Mrs. Vjestica is an essential member of the FMTU team. Her formal role is that of medical office assistant however she has assumed several roles supportive of our teaching mandate. She is a strong advocate for the residents and consistently creates a positive and supportive learning environment for them. Moreover, in the last 12 months she had been instrumental in optimization the incoming resident investigations. She has made it a priority to streamline the resident experience for reconciling results and as a result improved patient safety in our organization.
